Autumn Cleanse & Parasite Detox
In TCM we treat the Intestines in Autumn
Most human bodies over time become hosts for a variety of micro-organisms; parasites, worms, dormant viruses, mold and other people's energy. Please join us for a deep dive into your intestines and meet the microorganisms that live there! This is a 7-day Liver Cleanse which opens the drainage pathways of the body, followed by a 5-7 day Parasite Detox. Seasonal Detoxes are one of the simplest ways to stay ahead of unwanted toxins, and when beginning should be done under the guidance of a professional. After that you'll have the tools and body awareness to repeat as needed.
Week 1 ~ 7 Day Liver Cleanse & Gentle Elimination Diet
-
Please take the products in Step 1: Liver Drainage following the dosing chart, but add a third dose of the morning supplements at lunchtime. They can be taken with or without food.
-
Add one glass of warm lemon water in the morning with 1/2 lemon + 1 TBSP apple cider vinegar
-
Diet: Eliminate all sugar and alcohol 100%. This is the most important thing to remember during these 2 weeks. No sugar starves the parasites and makes them easier to flush out.
-
I also encourage the elimination of gluten & dairy to clear the pathways, and any raw fish or undercooked meat which can often host parasites.
-
The equinox is a time for warm cooked vegetables, soups, and stews. I will link a few basic recipes that are nutritious to the body, but not taxing on the digestion, allowing more energy to clean up toxicity.
-
Take 1 TBSP Olive oil before bedtime. This is good for autumn dryness, stimulates bile production, and prevents constipation.
Recipes
-
Easy Kitchari Kitchari is a beloved traditional Ayurvedic dish known for it's warming, grounding & cleansing properties. A big batch of this balancing rice and lentil recipe can be eaten throughout the week.
-
Chicken & sweet potato stew with black beans .Another warming and grounding dish packed with protein.
-
Easy Autumn Buddha Bowl Buddha bowls are simple, creative, and perfect for cleansing. You can substitute all sorts of ingredients using different grains, veggies, seeds, nuts, fermented foods, and dressings.
Week 2 ~ 7 Day Parasite Detox & Gentle Elimination Diet
-
Parasite cleanses are designed to be done around the full moon. The science behind this is due to an increase in Melatonin which makes the bugs more active. The more you cleanse you'll develop a higher sensitivity to your digestive tract during this time.
-
The most important thing is that you are pooping daily. Please schedule an acupuncture appt with me (or another acupuncturist) if elimination is a problem. Week 1 should prepare you to eliminate regularly. I recommend adding Natural Calm Magnesium in the evening if you need extra support.
-
Please take the products in Para Kit: Beginner Dosage for 7 days . Instruction card in Para Kit maps this out.
-
Please google what to look for in the toilet bowl. Parasites come in many shapes, sizes, and stages of development. You'll have to sift through your BM to look for worms! Latex gloves and disposable chopsticks are good protective tools for this.
-
It's a good idea to sweat, go to the sauna, and/or Castor Oil packs to keep things moving and gently support your internal organs throughout the detox phase. ***Castor oil packs are simple and very soothing to the gut. I recommend these 1-2x week whether cleansing or not. You can use a heating pad, castor oil soaked towel and apply to belly while you're watching tv for 20-30min.
-
Parasites exist in the body at different stages of growth from eggs, to fully mature worms. Depending on your results the cleanse can be repeated for the next several moon cycles to more thoroughly remove all bugs, eggs, and nests.
-
I've written a blog post to help you understand the physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of Parasite Cleansing and how it can affect you on a deeper level. You can read it here for inspiration.
